Using the maintenance plan implemented on each crane at the CMS can help to:

• Plan your maintenance in advance
• Get preventive maintenance points, where the time is based on historical data
• Add your personal maintenance points, appearing regularly or only once
• Reduce predefined maintenance periods additionally if desired, e.g. cable interval might decrease the last weeks before exchange
• Check maintenance work after it is done
• Export final list of maintenance points

It is normal that things break over time but finding the reason behind it can take long. CMS can help you deal with this problem:

• Getting information via alarms
• Tracking down the cause by looking at the trend of the system states

The CMS tool saves logging data every hour in compressed form on the CMS server. If necessary, it is possible to open and play this log data again using the Replay Tool. The data is then displayed in CMS. There are various replay functionalities for this, such as replay, pause or fast forward. In the Replay Tool itself you can see the list of data with the corresponding values. This makes it easier to simulate the situations happened in the past. Furthermore, there are different playback speeds from 0.25x to 8.0x that can be set.

Moving semi-trailers is time-consuming and requires additional ground personnel. Kuenz has solved this challenge by developing special gripper cameras which make handling semi-trailers safer and easier. Eight cameras are installed on the inside of the piggyback arms of the spreader, providing visual coverage of the areas around the gripping corners. The images are displayed in the crane cabin or at the remote operation station. The positions of all four grippers are clearly visible so the semi-trailer can be safely taken in the right place. At night, the area is illuminated by LEDs. With the new camera system Kuenz significantly increases the safety and efficiency of semi-trailer handling.

Intermodal terminals are increasingly being built in residential areas and must therefore comply with noise restriction standards. Kuenz Soft Landing is an innovative assistance system that reduces noise emissions, increases productivity and protects the lifting equipment and cargo from damages. A digital stack map is created with all containers of the block. The system then knows the stack heights and reduces the speed automatically and just in time before landing. This ensures a significant reduction of noise emissions and an extended equipment lifetime.

Kuenz InnoLight is an innovative light control concept that optimizes the light to reduce energy consumption and take care of the environment. The automatic light positioning of InnoLight ensures optimal illumination of the work area, so that a constant quality of vision is guaranteed for your crane driver. The dynamic and adaptive “dimming technology” detects the position of the trolley and activates relevant lamps on the main girder and automatically dims irrelevant lamps.
