Kuenz and PortxGroup announce new partnership

Austrian crane innovators Kuenz have signed an exclusive agreement with PortxGroup Australia.

The new agreement will see the Australian company exclusively represent Kuenz’s container handling cranes throughout Australia and New Zealand. Furthermore, a new office is planned to open in Singapore to support their Asia-Pacific operations.

“We at Kuenz have been looking for a strong partner who will support us in the Asian Pacific Area, especially Australia and New Zealand and with PortxGroup we found the perfect partner,” said David Moosbrugger, Managing Director, Kuenz.

“The strength of both groups will add a lot of value to our future customer projects. Kuenz and PortxGroup will now be able to offer TurnKey Projects to customers, including After Sales Services done by local people.” PortxGroup founder and CEO, Peter McLean added, “We are extremely excited to introduce Kuenz products and services into our religion, as they are the market leader in Europe and North America.

“This exclusive partnership allows us to offer innovative and efficient solutions for intermodal operations and automated stacking cranes for container terminals and rail yard operations.”

In August 2021 Kuenz completed assembly on three of their RNG cranes at Poland’s CLIP container terminal. Now this is completed it will mean the CLIP logistics hub in Wielkopolska will be able to reload eight intermodal trains at the same time.
